Christmas Party 94

Christmas of 1994 had its own special memories. Haiti was "occupied" by foreign military at the time. When Parkway Foods learned that we were having Military help and guests at the party they let their suppliers know and we had hot dogs, buns, all the trimmings and chocolate cookies for them. They in turn were tired of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) so they brought hundreds for the children and their parents at the party.

There were four settings that Christmas. As people left out the front gate, the next group was brought in the back gate, seated and fed. We even had enough meals and milk to give to passersby. There wasn't a hungry person on Beck Mountain when they went to bed that night, what a wonderful way to spend Messiah's birthday. As you can see, the military found "friends" who came along to the party also.
